If you’ve always wanted to learn the timeless art of quilting, this is the class for you. You’ll learn an easy method to make a tried and true beginning block, the 9-patch. Lana will introduce you to color and design theory and you’ll choose your fabric. Then she’ll instruct you on how to accurately cut, pin, and sew your blocks. You’ll have a finished quilt top and, after using our longarm services, we’ll teach you how to square up and bind your quilt.
Note: The enrollment fee includes fabric, batting, longarm services, and use of our sewing machines. You’ll need to own or purchase a rotary cutter, and 6-8 ½ inch x 24 ½ inch ruler. An 18 x 24 inch cutting mat is suggested for work at home.
Prerequisite: Beginning Sewing or Whatever Happened to Home Ec
