Have you ever wanted to sew a Lone Star Quilt but have been too intimidated? In this class, Mikka will walk through every step of making your own classic Lone Star quilt. We will cover choosing fabrics, cutting on a bias, precision piecing and how to assemble your star without Y seams. Student quilts will be professionally long-armed and the final class will be dedicated to sewing a binding so you'll leave with a finished heirloom quilt.
Note: The enrollment fee includes the pattern, fabric, batting, longarm services, and use of our sewing machines. You’ll need to own or purchase a rotary cutter, and 6-8 ½ inch x 24 ½ inch ruler. An 18 x 24 inch cutting mat is suggested for work at home.
Prerequisite: Beginning Quilt Making or Whatever Happened to Home Ec
