Know Your Serger Class with Nicole Browne

Do you have a serger and just don’t know where to start? Do you need help threading it or knowing what it can do? If so, this class is for you. In this beginning class, you'll learn how to thread the machine and check the tension. Students will also learn how to do some basic stitches and complete some samples for you to reference later. You will finish the class by making a basic sunglasses case using the serger.
You must have a serger to bring to class along with its manual for reference.

About Your Instructor
Nicole Browne is an avid seamstress, who has been sewing since middle school. She is in her 24th year teaching Family and Consumer Sciences (formerly Home Ec) and taught high school sewing for 15 years. She has been the costumer for a couple of elementary, middle and high school musicals/plays. Over the years, she has sewed and altered numerous items ranging from wedding dresses and prom dresses to basic alterations and everything in between. Her favorite thing to sew is garments.
Class Policies
Our classes support the fabric and supplies we carry and we purchase fabric and merchandise to support our classes. Our policy is to have students purchase their fabric and supplies at our studio.
Classes are non-refundable, however if you cancel prior to 5 days in advance and we can fill your spot, we will issue you credit towards a subsequent class. Private lessons can be rescheduled once due to sickness or emergency, but repeated cancellations are non-refundable.
Wearing protective masks is optional. We are a small studio and work in close proximity to one another. As always, if you are feeling sick or please stay home.
