Was your New Year’s resolution to break out that stash of clothes you’ve squirreled away that need to be mended?  Here’s the perfect opportunity to dive into that pile!

Friday, January 24, 1-4pm or

Saturday, January 25, 10am-1pm

Start “mending your own business”!  Visible mending is fun and functional; learn how to use your scraps, exercise your creativity, and mend your clothes.  In this first class, you’ll be learning different patching techniques and how to use them for patching holes and stains.  Bring in cotton scraps to use, share, and we’ll also have lots of shop scraps for you. Bring your cotton/denim/linen garment with holes, stains, or signs of wear that you’d like to patch.  Please make sure made from woven fabric (as opposed to knits; that will be another class!) Jeans, jackets, pants, skirts, and shirts from woven fabric would be perfect.  Don’t have something to mend but still interested…you can make a Mending Sampler. If you have questions about what to bring in, call the shop at 818-957-2287.

Your $10 reservation fee will be applied to your supplies for this class
