Half Hearts for Gaza Quilt Project

Hello friends,
If you’re a quilter or sewist feeling heartbroken for the children of Gaza, please join us in creating blocks for the Half Hearts for Gaza Quilt, a community project inspired by
@msrachelforlittles’ #HalfHeartsForGaza challenge.
Why this matters
We’re partnering with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF)—an apolitical,
non-religious organization providing medical and humanitarian relief to children
throughout the Levant, regardless of nationality or religion.
How you can help (3 easy steps)
1. Make a Block (or two!)
- Pattern by Mikka of Wild Sky Quilts — available for download here.
- You have three construction options: simply pieced • patchwork pieced • foundation paper pieced.
- Fabric guidelines: please use bright, quality quilting cottons, contrasting background, no surface embellishment.
2. Mail Your Block by Friday, November 8
- Mail to: Quilt 'n' Things Fiber Arts, PO Box 12030, La Crescenta, CA 91224
3. Spread the word!
- Post your block on Instagram with #HalfHeartsForGazaQuilt.
- Tag @qntfiberarts, @msrachelforlittles, and @thepcrf.
- Join the #HalfHeartsForGaza challenge by posting a half heart with your hand, donating to PCRF, contacting local officials, and tagging friends to join.
What we’re doing
We will assemble, longarm, and finish as many quilts as possible. 100% of proceeds from quilt sales will be donated to PCRF.
Timeline
- Now – Nov 8: Block collection
- November 8 - December 8: Quilt construction & longarming
- Dec 1–15: Quilts available for sale; all proceeds to PCRF
