Make a quilt top the old fashioned way… by hand. Each month you’ll learn a new hand pieced block. If you’re new to hand piecing, Lana will introduce you to this timeless art and you’ll learn different techniques. This is a great class if you like to take a project with you or need some relaxing sewing in the evening without having to break out your machine.
We learn a new block each month, which means you can join any time!
Supplies:
Hand piecing starter kit- available for purchase at the shop
Rotary cutter, small mat, and various rulers to accommodate your fabric sizes
Good fabric scissors or Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Scissors in medium or large
Fabric scraps, pre-cuts or yardage including some solids or background fabric. You can purchase fabric at the shop in 1/8 yard cuts for this class.
Class Policies
Our classes support the fabric and supplies we carry and we purchase fabric and merchandise to support our classes. Our policy is to have students purchase their fabric and supplies at our studio.
Group classes are non-refundable, however if you cancel prior to 5 days in advance and we can fill your spot, we will issue you credit towards a subsequent class. Private lessons can be rescheduled once due to sickness or emergency, but repeated cancellations are non-refundable.
COVID-19 Policy
Currently we require masks to be worn during our classes because we are a small studio and work in close proximity. As always, if you are feeling sick or please stay home.
Returns Policy
We do not accept returns for cut fabric, patterns, books, knitting needles, crochet hooks, and any opened items. We offer a full refund on any products that were sold damaged or defective. The shop only covers shipping charges for returned damaged/defective products.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping
We ship most orders domestically throughout the United States for a flat rate of $7.95. Exceptions include SEW to GO boxes, which we ship domestically for $12.95, and Eversewn sewing machines, which include free shipping.
