LOVE LETTERS BLOCK OF THE MONTH

Click for larger view Join the "Love Letters Block of the Month" by This & That and featuring fabrics from the 3 Sisters "Etchings" line. The "Love Letters Block of the Month" features twelve 17 1/2" quilt blocks. There are six unique blocks that are each made twice. The quilt finishes at 65" x 83". This quilt is for intermediate to advanced quilters.
The program includes the fabrics and patterns needed to complete the quilt top and binding.  There is a $75.00 deposit required when you sign up, and $12.50 a month for the 8 months.

Crystal Bright/Crystal Bloom Block of the Month is a star filled adventure in quilting. The quilt measures 86" x 110" finished size. This is a 12 month block of the month program. There is an initial deposit of $60.00 then $10.00 a month for 12 months.  You may choose to piece or applique the accent blocks.


TUESDAYS WITH TINA

Hands on help for beginner quilters who need to get away from home and sew with like-minded quilters.  Concentrated time to work on that project you want to start and finish.  Come when you can and leave when you want.  Share finished projects with the group for a free fat quarter to add to your stash.  Be the first to see new products.  $10 per session or $30 cash for five sessions paid in advance.  Class size is limited to 5 sewing machines (or 7 with hand projects) per session so sign up early to secure a spot.  Sorry, no space for quilt layouts.

You've taken the basic beginner class and now it's time to get creative.  In these sessions different patchwork techniques will be taught, building up a library of blocks which can then be made into a Sampler Quilt.  You will learn English Paper piecing, fusible machine applique, foundation paper piecing, curves, and freezer paper templates.

FINISH THAT PROJECT

Let Francine help you get your unfinished projects finished and/or those new projects started. Come have fun with fellow quilter's as you sew and get things done.



You must know how to thread and run your sewing machine.  Please bring your manual along with you to class in case there is a small problem with your machine.

Bring a snack for yourself and Francine will bring dessert.

Sorry, no quilt basting as there is not enough room. However, you are always welcome to call ahead and if there is no class you may use the classroom tables to get your tops basted.

Boys! Girls! Here is a chance to use your imagination, be creative and most of all have fun. Quilting has been an American tradition for hundreds of years. Quilts are wonderful gifts. You can create one-of-a-kind presents for your family, friends and even yourself. 

Come join us and be a part of our children's quilting classes. No experience is necessary.  We will teach you everything you need to know including how to use a sewing machine.  What a wonderful way to learn new skills, make new friends and have fun. With your new skills you will be able make other things such as decorated pillows, clothes, and accessories.  Come join us!

Click for larger view Linda has been quilting for many years and brings a wealth of knowledge to her quilting class.  Let her teach you all the basic skills required to successfully start making quilts using your sewing machine, rotary cutter and all of the wonderful tools for the quiltmaker of today. Learn how to cut, sew, press, and complete a project with accuracy and ease. Great for beginners and for those who are after some "Hot Tips" and pointers for accuracy and precision machine piecing.


Limit of 5 students.


Student must have a good working sewing machine and basic understanding of how to operate their machine.

You will learn two different methods of doing hexagon hand piecing. These hexagons can easily be made into blocks for quilts, placemats, or pillows. Perfect for making "I Spy" quilts.

Teacher Photo If you want to step out of the box and try something different, this is the quilt for you.  Cheryl Phillips' new Jewel Box patterns will take you to the next level.  Jewel Box quilt designs require precision, but with the Gem Five and Gem Ten templates you can't go wrong.

Use the "mock-up" provided in the pattern to pre-cut fabrics if you feel comfortable with you fabric selection.

Anne won first-place in the 2011 Glendale Quilt Show with her quilt.
